Note: Information about Jennie Yeck Campbell, her husband William, her children and her father in law, Henry, was sent to me from the files of Dorman Holub, a genealogist and researcher from Graham, Young Co. TX. This information included Oak Grove Cemetery records, a probate file and obituaries from "The Graham Leader".

The Graham Leader, Newspaper, 15 February 1917

Mrs. W.F. Campbell died of pneumonia at her home in Graham, Tuesday night, 13 February 1917 and was buried at Oak Grove Wednesday morning, 14 February 1917. Funeral was officiated by Rev. Purseley of Church of Christ.
She was 44 years, 3 months, 4 days old and has been a resident of Young County for 10 years.
Survivors: husband; 1 daughter; 1 son; mother; 2 sisters; 1 brother.
Because Morrison's does not record her, it is quiet possible that there was no undertaker and the family buried her. Since she was a member of the church of Christ during 1917, she was a member of the 2nd and Grove church of
Christ in Graham. The church is still in existence. I've checked with their elders and no records exist on Mrs. W.F. Campbell, in case you are interested. The Graham Leader began in August 1876. Just for your information. I have all of the Morrison Funeral Home records in my files from 1917 to 1962, which is how I had all of that information so quickly.

Young County Probate Volume 1, Page 75, instrument 624
There are only 3 pages in the probate. Jennie died intestate. The text shows
the following pertinent information.
W.F. Campbell petitions the court, W.P. Stinson, Young County Judge to allow
probate of the community property of Jennie E. Campbell. W.F. Campbell
states that Jennie E. Campbell, a resident of Young County, Texas, and the
wife of W.F. Campbell died 13 February 1917 in Graham, Young County, Texas.
I've already checked the death certificates. There is no death certificate
on file in Young County for Jennie E. Campbell. That was a common practice
in Young County if one did not pay their doctor or mortuary bill. I will
look through the Funeral Home records. They begin in 1917 and there was only
one funeral home in the county during this time.)
Surviving Jennie E. Campbell are: Dovie F. Campbell, who married one Hunt
who is 21 years of age and William Roy Campbell, who is 14 years of age and
all live in Young County.
Property of the estate is as follows: South 1/2 of lot #3 and all of lots 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 of block 40 of the City of Graham. No other details are in the probate.

Mrs. Oldfield dies; rites set
Mrs. Joyce Lee Offield , 42 of 1107 S. Moran died this morning in a Midland hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday Newnie W. Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Hollis, pastor of the Temple Baptist Church officiating.
Mrs Offield was born Dec. 13, 1934 in Midland. She was reared here. She married Bobby Doyle Offield May 1 1951. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She had been in failing health for a year.
Survivors include her husband of Midland: three sons, Randal Doyle Offield, Artie Leon Offield and Weston Lee Offield all of Midland, a daughter, Mrs. Joy Lynn Torrans of Midland, her mother, Mrs. Vernon Wade of Midland, a step brother, Vernon Wade Jr. of Ballard, NM, two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Fay Offield and Mrs. Doris Jean Stegall, both of Midland and six grand children.
