Dale E. Yeck, 65, of Battle Creek, died Saturday, July 26, 1997, at home.
He was born Sept 2, 1931, in Battle Creek, to Loren and Queenie (Roberts) Yeck.
Both preceded him in death in 1981. He attended Battle Creek Central High School and graduated in 1950. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955 aboard the USS Saipon and USS Coral Sea. He was formerly employed by Oliver Equipment Co., Stewart Laundry and OK Laundry. He was most recently
employed by Rental Uniform for 20 years and retired in 1985.
He married Helen J. Sharpsteen in 1955. She survives.
He is also survived by daughters, Donna Bolden and Beverly Boshears both of Battle Creek, and Darlene Green of East Leroy; five grandsons: two granddaughters: four great grand children; and brothers, David Yeck of Battle Creek and Daniel Yeck of Ceresco.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Clarence MIdlam in 1976.
Community involvement, hobbies: He enjoyed farming, gardening, horse pulls, football, puzzle books, and his family.
Visitation: 3 to 9 p.m. today with the family present from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9
p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Royal Funeral Home.
Services: I p. m. Tuesday at Royal Funeral Home.
Burial: Mather Cemetery, Leroy Township.
Memorials: Good Samaritan Hospice Care.
