He was a well known stage actor in N. Y. according to his father's obit. notice. George's death certificate states that he had been an actor for 55 years.

In the Fall 1997 issue of Photographers Forum Magazine, there is an article titled "George Mann, New American Master" by Michelle Gringeri-Brown. It tells about George Mann's life in the theater.
