Note: Some of the information about Abijah And Betsy Graham, their ancestors, siblings and their eight children was researched and sent to me by Sylvia Seymour. Her husband is the 2nd. gr. son of Lewis Ransom Mann, one of Abijah's and Betsy's children. He came to Medina Co. OH. in 1816 ( from Lewis MANN's obit.). Information about the Mann family was also sent to me by Alice Walcheck, a descendant of Lewis R. Mann.

In the book "History of Dover, Vermont; 200 Years in a Hill Town" by Nell M. Kull, Abijah is mentioned on pages 141 & 142 concerning his departure from Vermont and his arrival in OH.

Abijah married Anna in Dummerston, Windham Co. VT, in 1812 and moved to Medina OH about 1816, where she died in 1825. Later that year (1825), he married Anna's sister, Betsey. They had 9 children. He was the builder of the Weymouth Congregational Church. Anna and Betsey's parents, Lemuel and Eunice Burnham Graham, are buried in Weymouth Cemetery near Abijah.

Note: James is mentioned in "History of Dummerston, VT." by David Lufkin, 1884.It says he was referred to as Elder James Mann although he was not a licensed preacher. His children's names are listed in the article.

In the book "History Of Dover, Vermont; 200 years in a Hill Town," on page 183 in the appendix, it says that James Mann was the East Dover Baptist Minister in 1830 & 1831.

In an article, titled "History of the Freewill Baptist Church of Vermont, Maine", by Rev. G. A. Burgess and Rev. J. T. Ward (1889) and scanned from the pages of the Free Baptist Cyclopedia by David C. Young, it mentions James Mann. It says "The church organized by Rev. T. Morse at Windsor about 1822 was afterwards associated with the Strafford Q. M. A. Calvinistic Baptist church in Dover, Windham County, with its pastor, James Mann, becoming dissatisfied with Calvinism and close communion, voted in May, 1821, that salvation was provided for all men, and the Lords Supper was instituted for all Christians.
