On the 24th day of December, 1703,the selectmen "did bargain and agree wiOn the 24th day of December, 1703,the selectmen "did bargain and agree with Theodor Man on behalf of the town to keep scoole, beginning January the 3d next, insuing until the next March for the sum of three pounds, eight shillings in silver." He was a son of Rev. Samuel Man. In 1704 John Swineburn was imployed for thirty shillings and his diet. In 1705 Theodore Man was offered forty shillings per month, and in 1707 the treasurer was directed to pay him four pounds for keeping school two months

But the newspaper that relates the dec. of the wid. does not inform us when the f. d. yet it magnifies the wonder by mak. as many ds. as 6. fourteen in all, and all alive.

Samuel was born in Wrentham, Massachusetts 8 August 1675. Samuel was the son of Samuel MANN REV. and Esther WARE. Samuel died 20 April 1711 in Wrentham, Massachusetts, at 35 years of age. At 29 years of age Samuel became the father of Samuel MANN 1705. At 30 years of age Samuel became the father of Marcy MANN in Wrentham, Norfolk, Massachusetts, 2 June 1706. At 31 years of age Samuel became the father of Ebenezer MANN 1707. At 32 years of age Samuel became the father of Boriah MANN 1708. At 33 years of age Samuel became the father of Zipporah MANN 1709. Samuel became the father of David MANN ca 1710. At 35 years of age Samuel became the father of Richard MANN 1711. At 36 years of age Samuel became the father of Josiah MANN 1712. At 38 years of age Samuel became the father of Hannah MANN 24 April 1714. At 39 years of age Samuel became the father of John MANN 1715. At 48 years of age Samuel became the father of Bezaleel MANN 15 June 1724. (See Samuel MANN JR. for the continuation of this line.) She married Thomas THROOP in Wrentham, Massachusetts, after 1732.
