Schimke, Lilley Bertha Emma (b. 16 SEP 1908, d. 18 JAN 2004)

Lillian B. Zeller, 95, of Manistee, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004 at the Luther Home in Grand Rapids.
Lillian was born September 16, 1908 in Bear Lake Township, Manistee County, the daughter of John and Augusta (Lenz) Schimke. She married Harry J. Zeller on October 17, 1933 in Manistee. He preceded her in death on November 7, 1950.
Lillian and her husband Harry owned and operated the Manistee Greenhouse on Water Street for many years.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Manistee, where she had been active with the ladies aid. She was also a member of the Tuesday Card Club.
Lillian is survived by: her son and daughter-in-law, Joh and Sue Zeller of Jenison; granddaughters, Kari Zeller of Grand Rapids and Tamara (Rick) Mills of Anchorage Alaska; great grand daughters, Samantha Gann and Sophie Zeller; sister, Marie Kafka of East Lansing; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, three brothers, William, Edward and Irwin Schimke; and three sisters, Martha Morbeck, Elsie Smith and Lydia Feldhak.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in the spring.
The family suggests that those wishing to remember Lillian consider a gift in her memory to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Manistee or the Manistee Senior Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and at the memorial service. The family is being served by the Johnson Funeral Home of Manistee.
